Big Dogs Club is an informal club for owners of giant breeds. Formed in Oct 07, we get together for group walks with our dogs. Giant breeds of dog often have problems socialising with other dogs simply because of their size. This is a group in which size is never a problem! We have Mastiffs, Newfies, St. Bernards, Gt Danes, Leombergers, and Bernese Mountain dogs so far. The dog owners have fun too, meeting other giant breed owners and watching their dogs have a great time.
The club has only two requrements: that your dog is sociable with other dogs and is a giant breed.
We usually meet on a Sunday morning every two weeks in the Greater Victoria area. We have around 45 human members so far.

At Woofers, we take good care of your dog when you are away. Woofers is your dog's home from home ! We are a non kennel boarding facility. Your best friend will live with us as part of our family while you are away so you can go on vacation or a business trip, safe in the knowledge that your dog will be loved and cared for in comfortable surroundings. We don't use crates or kennels - your pet has the run of the house. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention, regular walks and a large quarter acre yard in which to play and have fun. To ensure personal attention, we never have more than four dogs in the house at any one time (including our own dog, Max).
We also have a car ramp for dogs that are unable to jump in and out of a vehicle.
We can arrange to collect and return your dog within the greater Victoria area.
I am at present studying to be a dog trainer and once qualified later in the year, I may be offering residential courses for dogs that need basic obedience training.
We do require your dog to be housetrained and sociable with other dogs, adults and children.
