At CommuniCanine, my focus is on creating a harmonious and balanced relationship between you and your dog. This includes teaching you how to effectively communicate with your dog and also how to understand what your dog is communicating to you.
I teach a variety of classes including: Puppy Superstart, Family Manners, Agility & Tricks. I also work on an individual basis with clients in their homes covering anything from basic training needs to problem behaviour modification.
I'd love to meet you, so feel free to come check out any of my classes and introduce yourself!

Force-free, science-based, humane, and most importantly, fun dog training. We welcome all sizes and shapes of dogs - and people too. We focus on positive ways of training your dog so that you both learn and have a good time.
We primarily use "clicker training" in our classes, and subscribe to progressive reinforcement training.
Because our classes are run with a focus on flexibility and a low-stress experience, we keep classes small and offer a modular-based system.
We offer a variety of options:
- Basic Manners
- Performance Foundations
- Trick Classes
- Useful Dog Classes
- Small Dog Classes
... and more!!
Please visit our website or give us a call to learn more about our classes, seminars, and private lessons.

Woofers One to One Training is aimed at people whose busy lives don't allow them to commit to a fixed schedule of dog training classes. Training can take place at your home or elsewhere to suit you, depending on the behaviour that we need to teach/resolve.
Woofers also offers several different ways to work with clients and their dogs.
Many common behaviour problems are the result of a lack of communication between the dog and owner. Many behaviours that owners find unacceptable are completely natural to a dog.
Woofers' aim is to help you and your dog to learn to live in harmony.
Woofers uses humane, reward based training that is fun for you and your dog. This means that I don't use choke collars, prong collars, or shock collars. Modern, enlightened dog trainers use methods based on science and the belief that a dog is a sentient being who does not deserve to be intimidated or hurt to teach him/her to become a well behaved member of the family.
I am a certified dog trainer and pet first aider and a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

There is no learning involved, just remembering.
Gary Jackson has been in the midst of Animal Culture, specializing in behavior, for more than two decades.
Evolving from Horse trainer to Film trainer of wild indigenous and exotic predators, from Film trainer to Animal Protection Officer, Gary shares his insights and provides clear solutions to animal related problems. Gary's last chance-guy reputation with humane organizations and rehabilitation groups stands as testimony to the degree of his commitment to help translate the miscommunications so often defined as Bad behavior.
Weekend Clinics:
Gary provides people with a unique opportunity to learn about their pet and how to effectively and humanely train them. The clinics are unique in both the breadth and scope of the content shared. Participants leave with a deeper bond and understanding of their animal and its behavior. Armed with a toolkit filled with training techniques and ideas, it's easy to see why participants speak so highly in their referrals.
Teaching people in the proper progression is the key to helping owners understand their animals and motivating them to do the great things with them as a matter of pleasant, everyday life, rather than one of coping.
Private Sessions:
Private Sessions are ideal for people dealing with aggression, fear or deficiencies in socialization. These sessions can be tailored to suit any situation.
