Smart Dog Training offers fun classes of all levels minutes from downtown Victoria. Certified trainers instruct pet owners of puppies,adolescence, or older dogs from beginner through advanced stages of learning. We also work with problem behaviours and aggression using effective, humane methods based on the science of animal learning. Private lessons and non-competitive agility are also offered.

Clever Canine provides many training options to fit the needs of you, your family and your dog:
• Classes are available for puppies, adolescents and adults. The whole family can spend an hour each week training your dog and socializing with other dog-lovers.
• Private coaching, problem solving and behaviour consultations take place in your own home. If your schedule is crazy or if you have a serious problem with your dog then let Clever Canine make a housecall!
Our goal is to educate and teach both dogs and their people. Gary Jackson has been in the midst of Animal Culture, specializing in behavior, for more than two decades.
Evolving from Horse trainer to Film trainer of wild indigenous and exotic predators, from Film trainer to Animal Protection Officer, Gary shares his insights and provides clear solutions to animal related problems. Gary's last chance-guy reputation with humane organizations and rehabilitation groups stands as testimony to the degree of his commitment to help translate the miscommunications so often defined as Bad behavior.

Weekend Clinics:
Gary provides people with a unique opportunity to learn about their pet and how to effectively and humanely train them. The clinics are unique in both the breadth and scope of the content shared. Participants leave with a deeper bond and understanding of their animal and its behavior. Armed with a toolkit filled with training techniques and ideas, it's easy to see why participants speak so highly in their referrals.
Teaching people in the proper progression is the key to helping owners understand their animals and motivating them to do the great things with them as a matter of pleasant, everyday life, rather than one of coping.
