Welcome to the world of Connective Training.
Starting from 2002 I have shifted the behavior of over 2500 dogs. My main focus when working with a dog is to asses their mental, emotional and physical wellness before we even begin our journey. All dogs are completely different and I have a myriad of training methods and philosophies to help you to understand what may be going on for them.
I will help you get to know your dog on his/her level and we will begin there. I have trained under many life masters in order to offer you this terrific insight on dogs and how to create a balanced relationship . I also work with a team of practitioners in order to get the best help available for any and all challenges. All training is done in the light of love, compassion and clarity.
Come visit me in my training facility located in the North Quadra St. area of Victoria and I can promise you that you will leave knowing your dog like you have never known before.

We specialize in providing gentle and effective training for you and your dog. Our group classes are small with a high ratio of instructors to clients enabling us to give you and your dog the attention you need. Classes we offer include:: Puppy Head Start, Puppy Level 1& 2, Pet Dog Manners, Tracking & Fun Scentwork, Reactive/Shy Dog, Canine Good Neighbour, plus specialty classes in Non-Competitive Rally, Tricks and more.
If your dog is exhibiting problem behaviours (aggression, separation anxiety, housetraining issues, biting, chewing, barking) or if you prefer one-on-one training, we offer Private Training & Behaviour Asssessments.

Gary Jackson has been in the midst of Animal Culture, specializing in behavior, for more than two decades.
Evolving from Horse trainer to Film trainer of wild indigenous and exotic predators, from Film trainer to Animal Protection Officer, Gary shares his insights and provides clear solutions to animal related problems. Gary's last chance-guy reputation with humane organizations and rehabilitation groups stands as testimony to the degree of his commitment to help translate the miscommunications so often defined as Bad behavior.
Weekend Clinics:
Gary provides people with a unique opportunity to learn about their pet and how to effectively and humanely train them. The clinics are unique in both the breadth and scope of the content shared. Participants leave with a deeper bond and understanding of their animal and its behavior. Armed with a toolkit filled with training techniques and ideas, it's easy to see why participants speak so highly in their referrals.
Teaching people in the proper progression is the key to helping owners understand their animals and motivating them to do the great things with them as a matter of pleasant, everyday life, rather than one of coping.

Private Sessions are ideal for people dealing with aggression, fear or deficiencies in socialization. These sessions can be tailored to suit any situation.

Since 1994, we have offered positive, effective training for your family dog. Our goal: Your dog will be a pleasure to live with throughout its life. Our instructors have excellent qualifications and extensive experience. Whether you choose group classes or individual sessions, you and your dog will enjoy the experience. At CommuniCanine, my focus is on creating a harmonious and balanced relationship between you and your dog. This includes teaching you how to effectively communicate with your dog and also how to understand what your dog is communicating to you.
I teach a variety of classes including: Puppy Superstart, Family Manners, Agility & Tricks. I also work on an individual basis with clients in their homes covering anything from basic training needs to problem behaviour modification.
