Woofers One to One Training is aimed at people whose busy lives don't allow them to commit to a fixed schedule of dog training classes. Training can take place at your home or elsewhere to suit you, depending on the behaviour that we need to teach/resolve.
Woofers also offers several different ways to work with clients and their dogs.
Many common behaviour problems are the result of a lack of communication between the dog and owner. Many behaviours that owners find unacceptable are completely natural to a dog.
Woofers' aim is to help you and your dog to learn to live in harmony.
Woofers uses humane, reward based training that is fun for you and your dog. This means that I don't use choke collars, prong collars, or shock collars. Modern, enlightened dog trainers use methods based on science and the belief that a dog is a sentient being who does not deserve to be intimidated or hurt to teach him/her to become a well behaved member of the family.
I am a certified dog trainer and pet first aider and a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

At Woofers, your dog will live with us in our home as part of our family while you are away. Dogs have the run of the house and can sleep at night where they like. This could be on the sofa or a cosy dog bed. Your dog will have lots of love and cuddles, regular walks and the company of other dogs. As only a small number of dogs is boarded at any one time (this includes our own dog) your dog will be assured of personal attention at all times.
One of the things that makes Woofers different is that I am a certified dog trainer and you can therefore be assured that your dog is being cared for in a knowledgeable and safe environment.
We are conveniently located in Brentwood Bay, close to the ferries and airport..
Because the dogs are living in our home and in close proximity with other dogs, it is essential that all boarding dogs are super sociable and friendly with no aggression towards either people or other dogs.
Ours is a child and smoke free environment.
We cover the whole of the greater Victoria area and for a small charge, we will collect and return your dog if needed.
